Tekla Nee blogged for five years before there ever was such a word, writing the weekly “Mommy Zone” column for the Palo Alto Daily News. She went on in 2006 to cofound the Silicon Valley Moms Group, a network of 13 blogs and some 400 writers around the U.S. and Canada, and served as editor-in-chief and CFO for the company until its purchase by Technorati Media in 2010. Her articles about parenting have appeared in Parenting, BabyTalk, Working Woman, Special Reports: Family, Better Health and Living, and the San Francisco Chronicle. She’s authored three books, The Mommy Rescue Guide First Year (Adams Media); The Mommy Zone: Tales from the Trenches of Parenthood (Xlibris); and The Everything Baby’s First Year Book (Adams Media, also published in Russian, Chinese, and Indonesian). And that’s just in her “free” time, during the day, she masquerades as a mild-mannered technology journalist working for a major metropolitan magazine. You can contact Tekla at tekla_nATyahooDOTcom.
